This is a cool project but I see rust through in the future and other water leaking issues.
Hope I’m wrong. I think I would have used a rubberized coating on the steal that the pour is on.

Are these containers braced from underneath? Just wondering if the roofs are sturdy enough to support the concrete until it dries. Nevermind - I just watched the last few minutes and saw the 4x4 uprights

Yeah, I was thinking that you were short handed on workers. It would have been funny if you had four guys helping....and they went on strike halfway through the job.... Hahahahahah. Some of Levi's foot prints in the cement would ROCK! Signed: L & A Construction or L.A.C.C.

Is condensation on the inside of the shipping containers going to be a problem? I was thinking about insulation for the winter cold and summer heat and then wondered about the water vapour that would be present. When the wind is blowing and slates are rattling I often think it would be nice to live in a metal house, used to be at sea so always a metal house there. No idea what was done about insulation there, something must have been. Keep up the good work.
I was so surprised the cement truck made it up the hill!!!

иногда для улучшения проходимости машины достаточно просто приспустить давление в колёсах
площадь соприкосновения с грунтом увеличивается и улучшается проходимость
если переусердствовать со спусканием воздуха то можно сорвать покрышки

Andrew, any issue with the concrete pored on the container roofs? (Rust, condensation on inside, ...) . Also, anything advice on doing it? Want to do the same to mine and build a wooden deck/carport off of it.

Today as I cut a second driveway into my property I kept thinking to myself, I sure wish I had a castle. Plus 2 cranes and all the other cool toys you have. I really messed up not going into earthworks. I only have a kubota l2550 and a bobcat T650. They're nice, but I need more. Mini excavator is next. Get yourself a power screed if you plan to pour much more. You'll thank me later.

You might look at buying a used concrete mixer truck that the truck part is worn out and make your own concrete on site. A ranch I worked on did that and it worked out pretty good, we just towed it with a tractor to where we needed to use it and dozed up a ramp to load it. U could park it downside of a hill for loading too. Owner bought it cheap at an auction.

What's up with this "we don't use pump trucks, only trucks with chutes" business in the US?! You should use ONLY concrete trucks with pumps build in.
Andrew Camarata
Andrew Camarata - 7 måneder siden
Separate pump trucks are available for hire with pump cranes. That would have been easier than using this bucket. I don't see how that could be one truck. I wanted to try my bucket, this was the first time I used it. Using it twice will pay for it self.

Hey Andrew, I'm really enjoying watching you work. The place looks great. I have worked on commercial job sites on the west coast for over 20 years, and I've never seen anyone use a drone to get a better look at where their crane pics were landing. The big boys could learn a thing or two from you. If I could make one suggestion it would be please, please consider using a harness and lanyard when you're working close to a leading edge. One second can change your life forever, or end it. Keep up the great work!

Hey Andrew, I was wondering if you ever heard of an app called SketchCut Pro. I thought you might be able to benefit from this app due to the fact that you have a lot of projects going on. It helps especially in carpentry (I used it to build my own custom cabinets in the kitchen) when purchasing large sheets of wood that you need to cut down to many smaller pieces...and in your case large pieces of steel like you did in your trailer video. It helps to tell you where to cut to optimize your scraps. Anyway, thank you for all of your awesome videos. I always look forward to seeing that you have uploaded a new one!
